TAG-IT: Never lose your stuff again!

Forgetting, losing and misplacing valuable items. Studies have shown that the average person spends around ten minutes a day looking for things he/she owns but cannot find. Consequently, people get frustrated and aggravated when valuables such as glasses, credit cards, and valuables get lost or misplaced. The world needs a solution.

Tag-It offers trackable stickers that one can attach to any valuable item (credit cards, glasses, watches, etc.). These stickers will be able to interact with an individual's tablet or smartphone, via iBeacon, Bluetooth 4.0 (low energy), and RFID technology, in order to not only track the missing items, but also locate them through a precise navigation application available on smartphones, tablets and laptops. Through a unique user interface, like the game of hot and cold when a user is searching for their valuables on his or her portable device, the application will open up a hot and cold scanner enabling a user to get closer to the object through a infrared type visual. The hotter the displayed thermometer shows, the closer the item is. To demonstrate its convenience, imagine this application and its stickers being able locate ones lost earnings in the back of the medical cabinet. Competitors’ navigation systems show the physical coordinates through GPS based technology, yet, that is not specific enough to find these valuables. Additionally, the stickers will remind the user through notifications on his/her device when an item has left the selected range, alerting the user that he/she might have mistakenly forgotten that item (i.e. If one leaves his/her credit card at a restaurant, it alerts that person knows that the item has left the selected range).
